23 Months

Lana,

You are 23 months old today.  I cant believe I am already thinking about your 2nd birthday.  You amaze me and I somehow fall more in love you every day.  You are my sunshine!  You can brighten up any room with your big brown eyes that I love.  You are also learning how to get your way and that it is hard for us to say "no" to those same big brown eyes. 

Here is a little of what you have been up to lately:

*Weight:  about 24 pounds, tall and skinny!

*Diapers:  Huggies size 3.  I tried the 4's and you would wet through them like they aren't tight enough. 

*Sleep:  You love your crib and there are many naps and nights when you put yourself to bed.  You will tell us "night, night" and get your lovey when you get tired. 

*Teeth:  You have them all except the back 4 molars.  You have been sucking on your hands a lot here lately though.  I dont think it is teeth though. 

*  You LOVE shoes and flip flops.  You call them flop, flops though.  Grandma taught you to say "flop, flop girl"

*  You are pretty good at repeating anything we say. 

*  You are starting to put more words together and understand what they mean.  You will say "silly Mommy" or I taught you to say "I cute" and you changed it to "Mommy cute" one day and patted me on the back like you knew what it meant. 

* Some more favorite phrases are "I runnin" as you run in circles or "I cited (excited!)" 

* You know the difference of hot/cold and up/down. 

* You are a very determined little girl and don't give up easily. 

Sweet girl, we love you so much!  You have blessed us beyond words.  I can't wait to see how you are with your baby brother in just a few short weeks.  I am going to do everything possible to really enjoy and soak in these next 3 weeks with you.  I hope you always know how special you are.  I know you are going to love being a big sister, but you will always be my baby girl!
