Potty time

I have been such a horrible blogger here lately.  I have so many memories that I dont want to forget but busy making those memories.  It is a balance but I am going to do better at the blog.  Promise!

Potty training is interesting.  Of course, this is my first experience with it and such a learning experience.  We have been asking Lana about the potty and talking about big girl panties for sometime now.  We had one night many months ago when she went potty and went to buy big girl panties.  After that night, if you even mentioned panties and even pull-ups you would have thought the sky was falling!  She would not even put a pair of panties on OVER her diaper!  Wow.  Talk about a strong willed child.

Then all of the sudden one day, she decided panties were cool!  It has been one week and we have only had a handful of accidents.  She is a champ at the potty and it just really had to be in her time.  There has been some interesting and funny conversations about the potty over the past week.  Here are a few of them....

I was at work and got a text from Jayson that she had pooped in her panties.
I called to ask her about it and here is how the conversation went.
Lana: Mommy I pooped in my panties.
Me:  Why did you do that sweetheart.
Lana:  I just pooped in my panties.
Me:  Well, were you sad when you pooped in your panties.
Lana:  No mommy, I not sad.  I happy.


As usual, I asked her if she needed to potty when she got up from her nap.
Lana:   I want to go pee-pee outside.
Me:  Why do you want to go pee-pee outside?
Lana:  I want to go pee-pee outside like the dogs.

So, that is just a little bit of what we have been up to.  We are getting ready for a 1st and 3rd birthday and loving everyday!!!
