Christmas 2012

(Yeah, I know. Only a few weeks late on this one!)

Silent night! Holy night! All is calm all is brightRound yon virgin mother and child
Holy infant so tender and mildSleep in heavenly peace!Sleep in heavenly peace!

Silent night! Holy night!Shepherds quake at the sightGlories stream from heaven afarHeavenly hosts sing HallelujahChrist the Saviour is born!Christ the Saviour is born!
Silent night! Holy night!Son of God love's pure lightRadiant beams from thy holy faceWith the dawn of redeeming grace,Jesus, Lord at thy birth,Jesus, Lord at thy birth.

Christmas was perfect again this year.  I was able to be off work for 17 days straight.  It was wonderful having no plans, little travel (meaning nothing more than 10 minutes away), and just getting to enjoy being a family and really spending time with each other.

Cookies for Santa

I wish I could say visiting Santa was a success, but it was a pretty epic fail!  Devon had Santa and reindeer on a Saturday, so Julie and I thought the kids would love it and headed downtown to be there shortly after Santa arrived at 10.  Well, we waited 1.5 hours only to have Lana get no closer to him than to hand him a picture she had colored and Grayson to completely freak out.  All of this while waiting in line, sweating like crazy, being pregnant.  I was so worn-out and even sore the next day from corralling them.  Glad the rest of the holiday stuff turned out better!

Lana was so cute on Christmas Eve.  We had made Santa cookies and she wanted him to have chocolate milk to go with them.  After putting them on the fireplace for Santa, I wanted to take her picture, but she told me I would have to hurry because she did not want Santa to miss her house.

I am so very thankful for Jesus to be born and for us to celebrate His birth.  I have now had 3 Christmas' of being pregnant, 4 Christmas' with kids, You really can't put into words how special it is creating these memories with Lana and Grayson.  Teaching Lana about Jesus, and next year, we will have 3 kids!  Seeing their face on Christmas morning is what it is all about.

How handsome is this boy?!

We even got snow on Christmas day!

Lana wanted to make a strawberry cake for Jesus' birthday cake this year.  Did you know Jesus was 998?  What is a birthday cake without candles and those are the ones Lana
wanted to put on the cake.

Love my boys!
