Memorial Weekend!

I have been meaning to write this everyday this week and always keep running out of time.  But, Memorial Day weekend was wonderful.  I was off Friday, so Lana and I went to get pedicures, order her birthday cake (it is going to be awesome!), Hobby Lobby and Target.  I can't think of a more perfect day with my girl! 

After Jayson got off work Saturday morning, we headed to the lake.  It was really nice and we had some really yummy smooked pork loin, sausage, chicken, and hot links that Dad and Uncle Kenny fixed.  Then, Sunday we went out in the boat.  I really wanted to take Lana for her first boat ride, but the lake gets pretty rough on the holiday weekends at Lake Texoma.  We did find a nice area for brother, Jayson and me to ski.  We all did really good.  I took a pretty good crash that Jeff said ranked in his top 5 crashes.  If you know brother, then it must have been a pretty good crash becuase he has seen many!  I was a little sore the next day, but not too bad. 

My mom was prepared with all kinds of toys for Lana.  She had her a beach towel, water guns, bubbles, blocks, just to name a few of the things.  I think she had a lot of fun.  I wish she would have slept better down there, but with everyone going in and out and all the noise from the dogs, I can understand why she had a little bit of a hard time sleeping.  She did take a 3 hour nap when we got home Monday.  I am pretty sure she missed her bed.  Still, she was a perfect little angel and gets more fun everyday! 

Tonight while Jayson is working, Lana and I are going to do one of my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE summertime things.....you will have to come back tonight or tomorrow to see what that is!  You have no idea how excited I am for this!
