As I type this my precious baby boy is sleeping on my left arm, breathing heavy, in a nice sleep. It has been a fun two months and I would not trade it for the world! Here are a few things that I have learned about being a mom of 2 and about Grayson:
* In the hospital, you were the most laid back baby. You had to be under the billi-lights so we could not hold you much, but you were so content at laying there to get your jaundice levels down. Pretty much the only time you would cry was when you had a dirty diaper.
* You don't like paci's. I think Lana even liked them more than you and that is not saying much!
* You have not had a bottle yet. We just have not really had a need to try it yet. You seem to be just fine with me.
* You seem to be a good sleeper on the nights daddy is home, but not on the nights I have you by myself. Dont know how Jayson always gets the easy nights. We have only had a handful of really bad nights, but I think we are finally about to get in a good routine.
* We went to the zoo on August 12. It was mommy's first time out with the two of you. You both did great! We got to see the new baby elephant.
* You spit-up...a lot. I am trying to figure it out and keep you as comfortable as I can, but you just spit-up all the time. We have your bed propped up and I burp you frequently and try to keep you as upright as possible, but I dont know if any of it is really helping. I just got a nap nanny 4 nights ago and it seems to really help you.
* You really like baths and Lana likes to help with them. She does a great job as putting the water on your feet and legs to rinse the soap off.
* You love your swing.
* It took me about 5-6 weeks to finally start feeling like I had a good routine of taking care of both you and your sister on my own.
* You love to smile and laugh when we tickle your chin and belly. Your first smile was at 6 weeks old and laugh at 7 weeks old.
Boy we love you so much! Thank you for being the perfect addition to our family!
