Go tell it on the Mountain!

Go tell it on the mountain,
Over the hills and everywhere,

Go tell it on the mountain,
Our Jesus Christ is born.

When I was a seeker
I sought both night and day,

I asked the Lord to help me,
And he showed me the way.

Go tell it on the mountain,
Over the hills and everywhere,

Go tell it on the mountain,

Our Jesus Christ is born.

He made me a watchman
Upon a city wall,

And if I am a Christian,
I am the least of all.

Go tell it on the mountain,
Over the hills and everywhere,

Go tell it on the mountain,
Our Jesus Christ is born.

If you can't tell from the pictures, we had an amazing Christmas.  There is so much to be thankful for, but most of all for the reason we celebrate today.  We had a very busy day of running around but had such a good time with our families.  This year was very different than last year's blizzard!  I am thankful for that too!  The only thing that I am disappointed about is that I did not get any pictures of Lana with her grandparents!  Seriously, as I downloaded the pictures tonight I am so disappointed in myself!  Well, they were there watching her open her presents and we love them too very much!

As I sit here thinking about next year and having two children to watch enjoy Christmas, I think about what Jesus' birth was like.  It is a pretty amazing story and I am so very thankful that He came into this world to show us how to live and give.

Luke 2:9-12
And an angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were filled with fear. (10) And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of a great joy that will be for all the people. (11) For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. (12) And this will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger.”
